Concrete Work

Ideal Concrete specializes in floated concrete. This includes driveways, walkways, parking pads, parking lots, patios, and pool decks for in-ground swimming pools.

One of the biggest benefits of concrete is its strength and durability, as well as it being low maintenance. Floating concrete results in a smoother and more attractive surface. Besides being making the finished project aesthetically attractive, floating concrete eliminates voids and humps in the concrete, and allows the concrete to be both hard and dense.

Walls

Ideal Concrete can build a concrete block wall to fit your needs. These walls can be used as retaining walls, garden walls and planters, steps, and firepits. They can also be used to add terraced spaces to your yard, or as a seawall to prevent erosion where earth meets water.

Concrete walls have many benefits. They are both fireproof and provide protection against the elements, including strong winds. Because concrete blocks are larger than bricks, less cement is needed in mortar joints to hold them together.

You can also finish a concrete block wall in many ways. You can apply a concrete finish, stucco, artificial stone, vinyl siding, or for a natural look, allow climbing plants to grow up the wall.

Exterior Waterproofing

Waterproofing your basement from the outside wall helps to stop water before it enters your basement. This differs from interior waterproofing in both the concept and scope of repair.

Unlike interior waterproofing, which first allows water to seep into the basement before managing it away, this method of water management is designed to help prevent water from ever entering the basement.

Exterior waterproofing is a highly effective waterproofing method and can be completed on basements with both poured concrete or masonry block walls.

Exterior basement waterproofing involves digging out the dirt around basement walls, applying a moisture barrier and installing a specially designed dimple board that deflects water away from the wall.

French Drains

A French drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock that contains a perforated pipe. This French drainpipe redirects both surface water and groundwater away from your home’s foundation, where the water could cause lasting damage.

Benefits of a French Drain

By their nature, French drains are hidden from view and can be installed throughout your yard and landscaping. This allows you to move water away from your home’s foundation, without the need for unsightly drain covers or grates. French drains also have no moving parts (like pumps) which means they are very unlikely to quit working or break down and need repairs. With the proper equipment and expertise, they are fairly easy to install, and can make a significant difference in not only water issues around your foundation but can make your yard a much more usable space.
